I liked Paul Klee’s work because his art was super creative and free. I like how his paintings look playful and are imperfect but still thoughtful. Creating this piece was super cool because i liked using all the different colors all on one person. Its cool to see the blend of colors but still have the lines to keep the seperated.
My piece is still only in greenware but i really like how the underglazed turned out and after it gets fired and i gloss glaze it i bet that bright yellow background will really pop and make the other vibrant colors stand out also
Paul Klee was a Swiss-German artist known for his playful, childlike style and use of simple shapes, symbols, and lines. He was trained as a painter and taught at the Bauhaus school, but he believed that art should not just copy of what reality is. He wanted you to see the imagination and emotion in his pieces.
Klee was inspired by children’s drawings because they are honest, expressive, He wasnt worried about being perfect. His paintings where often simple but still did have some fine detail. He used bright colors, abstract shapes, and symbols so you could make out the message he was putting in his pieces.
